Have you ever tried to wear a dog out? I honestly don't think that it can be done. Growing up we had two slobbery golden retrievers that could chase tennis balls until the sun set.

Now we have two cats. They like to tear up and down the hall and boss us around. They have us very well trained. Mister Pretty knows that if he chirps a certain little mew we will follow him to the nearest sink and give him a drink out of the faucet. What is it about our animal friends that make us love them so?

So I'm grateful for many things, my family, friends and books to draw, but this year I am most grateful for the pets that make our lives that much warmer.
