An Accordion Envelope

Here's an easy expandable paper envelope that you can make to hold your stamps, Valentines, photos and letters. I made a little homemade movie showing how to fold it.

You can even make this with a large sheet of paper to create your own portfolio for your drawings.

Hello and Hello!

How can it be February already? January zoomed by, filled with drawings, more drawings and my quest to bake the perfect sponge cake. Homemade cake is delicious. What's your favorite kind of cake?

I'm finishing up my next book, A Year in the Secret Garden. My wonderful friend, Valarie Budayr wrote it. It's twelve months of activities, recipes, crafts and paper toys all based on Frances Hodgson Burnett's classic, The Secret Garden. She's the author of the best selling books, The Ultimate Guide to Charlie & The Chocolate Factory, The Fox Diaries and The Waldorf Homeschool Handbook. I'm pleased as punch to be creating this magical guide with her. I'll let you know as soon as it is available.

One of my goals for the year is to improve my drawing skills and get better at composition and perspective. It's a frustrating and maddening delight with lots of erasing and reworking of things.

Best thoughts,

We are three or four times blessed.
