Hello from the Toymaker

I had a bit of a kerfuffle with my email last month and a lot of replies got sent to spam and deleated. WAHHH! So if you emailed me a reply and I did not respond, my apologies. Please resend.

I've been playing old songs on the ukulele for my ninety-year-old mom. One of my favorites is "By the Beautiful Sea".

By the sea, by the sea, by the beautiful sea,
You and I, you and I, oh! How happy we'll be,
When each wave comes a rollin' in,
We will duck or swim, and we'll float and fool around the water.
Over and under, and then up for air,
Ma is rich, Pa is rich, so now what do we care?
I love to be beside your side, beside the sea,
Beside the seaside, by the beautiful sea.

I hope that this summer you get out into "The Big Blue Room" with someone you like to be beside.

Mister Brown Pelican

Make a flock of paper pelicans to fly around the room.

An Easy Bird

My husband teaches second grade and he told me that they are not using scissors in the class because they don't have any way of santitize them due to Covid-19. I think that cutting things out of paper is a very fun thing to do and a useful skill to have. So I designed this simple to make paper bird that a child can make with a little grownup help. They can also practice their knot tying when attaching the string.
