Hello from the Toymaker

Reading is awesome!

One of my goals for last year was to read more. When I was a girl I would gobble up books like crazy, Lord of the Rings, Narnia, anything with horses, Nancy Drew. The Scholastic book fair was heaven on earth. But over the years I lost that skill to just get lost in a book, partially because my eyesight is not great but more because the world just became more, well, noisy.

Then I discovered the Libby app for books that you can read on your computer, phone or kindle, for FREE! So now I'm back to noshing on books and my brain thanks me for it. (Excuse my gushing. I feel like an infomercial.)

Who's your favorite author?

I have bunches, Mark Twain, Neil Gaiman, Dorothy L. Sayers, Jorge Luis Borges, Federico Garcia Lorca, Jane Austin, and pretty much any Concord Writer.
