Who has seen the wind?

Neither you nor I but when the trees bow down their heads,

the wind is passing by. ~ Christina Rossetti

Spin Mills!

These jolly little spinners are great fun. I've been playing with them all week.

They are also called "The Faster You Go" because the faster you walk with them holding the thread, the faster they spin.

If you want to get fancy, you can run the toy through the printer twice and make a pattern on the back with the second pdf.

Spin Mills are also a delight to hang from tree branches. Watch them dance in the wind.

A light wind swept over the corn,

and all nature laughed in the sunshine. ~ Anne Bronte

Notice that the stiffest tree is most easily cracked, while the bamboo or willow survives by bending with the wind. ~ Bruce Lee

"I still get wildly enthusiastic about little things...

I play with leaves. I skip down the street

and run against the wind."
