And Mystery Scissors Solved!

Many thanks to everyone who emailed me with information about the Mystery Scissors. They are "Triple blade pattern shears for glasswork" used to cut out patterns for stained glass. You can see a modern pair on the"Came Glass" Wikipedia page.

The scissors cut away just enough of the pattern to allow space for the leading. People also suggested that they could be used for cutting fine herbs or for cutting strips for quilling, so my Mystery Scissors are very useful indeed.
